Autie & Perdomo LLC is a construction and engineering group focused on one thing: the distribution system that carries power the last few miles.

Specialists,
not generalists

Plenty of firms will add distribution to a service list. We built the practice around it.

That focus shows up in small ways that matter on a job. Our designers know which framing a given utility actually uses, not just what the standard book shows. Our field technicians know which attachment measurements the loading analysis is going to be sensitive to, so they get captured the first time. Our engineers know which clearance a reviewer will question, and address it before the submittal goes out.

The firm operates as a Florida limited liability company and performs work statewide. Where a project calls for signed and sealed engineering, we deliver it through a Florida-licensed professional engineer of record.

A large share of our work is delivered as a subconsultant to national engineering and utility services firms, on distribution programs those firms hold with Florida utilities. That includes hardening and non-hardening work, designed to the utility's own construction standards and reviewed by the client firm before it reaches construction.

The person who scoped your project stays reachable when a question comes up in the field, and the same team carries a multi-year program from start to finish rather than handing it between desks.

These are the things we will not trade away for a faster delivery date.

The drawing has to be buildable

Constructibility is reviewed by people with field experience before anything is released. If a crew cannot execute it with the equipment they have, in the outage window they have, it is not done.

Documentation is part of the deliverable

Assumptions, code references and design basis are written down. When a regulator, an attacher or a new project manager asks why a structure was specified the way it was, the answer is in the file.

Safety governs the field

Field crews work to documented procedures for energized-line proximity, traffic control and site hazards. Data collection never justifies an unsafe position, and no schedule pressure changes that.

Bad news travels fast

If a route will not permit, a pole will not pass, or a date is going to slip, you hear it the day we know it. Surprises at handoff are the expensive kind.

Quality

Checked before
it leaves

Every design package goes through an independent review by an engineer or senior designer who did not produce it. The reviewer checks the design against the collected field data, the governing code, and the client's construction standards — in that order.

Field data is spot-verified against photographs before it drives an analysis. Where a measurement is questionable, we re-collect rather than assume. That costs a truck roll and saves a redesign.

After construction, returned redlines are reconciled to the released design and pushed back into the system of record, so the next project starts from a record that is actually true.
